A little history

From farmyard
to village destination

The Limes on the High Street was once a working farm. Its outbuildings — stone-built, solid, and full of character — have been thoughtfully repurposed into what is now Wollaston Courtyard.

Today those same buildings house tea rooms, a working blacksmith, fairtrade crafts, specialist bakers and more. It is one of the village's most characterful corners, and a fine example of older buildings finding new purpose without losing their soul.

What to expect

A proper independent destination

Start with tea

Awbery's Tea Rooms is the natural starting point — a proper cup of tea and a slice of cake before you explore.

See craft in action

Beamish Blacksmithing is a working studio. If the forge is lit, it is worth a look — and the jewellery makes a memorable gift.

Shop with purpose

Eye2Eye Fairtrade and Wollaston Home & Crafts offer the kind of thoughtful, independent shopping that high streets have largely lost.
